August Selling Prices

Sales Prices Rise in August
The average sale price in the month of August was the third highest it has been this year finishing at 315,774. The highest month came in May when the average price in May was 317,932.

What to expect in September: If we take a snapshot of July-->August-->September in the last 10 years there has only been one time where the sequence "higher price, lower price, higher price" or "lower price, higher price, lower price" has not held true and that was in 2001 when July's average was 113,585, August was 117,221 and Sept was 117,356. In this case the sequence from July-->August-->September was "lower price, higher price, higher price."

This would lead to the prediction that the average sale price in September will indeed be lower than it was in August.

Saskatoon Area Prices
There continues to be very little fluxuation in the Saskatoon area pricing through 2011. Prices continue to be higher than ever but are still somewhat affordable compared to in the city.
What to expect in September: Things stay on track.
